This is an Indian recipe also known as Poricha Yera

This Indian fried prawns recipe is quite spicy, but is wonderful as a starter. If you wish to serve it as a main dish the quantities shown here, will serve 2 to 3 people. I would serve it with yogurt or raita, bread and greens.

Ingredients
2 pounds large raw prawns, cleaned, peeled and de-veined with tails left on.
Salt, to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice.
1 teaspoon garlic pulp.
3/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
2 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground fennel.
21 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
one egg yolk.
Vegetable oil for deep frying
lemon wedges, to garnish

Preparations Instructions.
Sprinkle the prawns with a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of lemon juice and set aside.
Mix together the remaining lemon juice, garlic pulp, turmeric, chili powder, ground fennel, ground cumin, egg yolk, and salt. Marinate prawns in the mixture. Leave for 20 min.
Deep-fry the prawns in the oil for about 5 to 10 min. until cooked then serve hot with lemon wedges to garnish.
